Responsibilities: |
Driving Licence would be preferred but not essential - due to potential shunter aspect of role
Job Purpose:
- To accurate and efficient assembly of customer orders, replenishment, ferrying and bulk storage control within the depot
Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Accurate assembly of customer orders
- Loading goods onto cages and packing goods into crates in a safe, stable and manageable manner
- Accurate input of weighted items
- Accurate marking and storage of assembled orders awaiting despatch

- May be required to work evenings and weekends
- Role could involve heavy lifting, exposure to temperature extremes and prolonged standing

Skills and experience: |
Education / Qualifications / Licences
- Basic level of education (numeracy and literacy)
- NVQ 2 Storage and Warehousing preferred but not essential
- Driving Licence preferred
Skills / Abilities / Knowledge / Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role desirable
- Awareness of ambient, freezer and chilled functions essential
- Reliably follows instructions and procedures
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships
- Keen and enthusiastic approach to working both in a team and independently
- Ability to produce accurate work within agreed timescales
